Job Description

SEN Tutors (Post 16) We are currently looking for experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutors to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of students. If you're passionate about helping students with unique learning needs to help them grow and thrive in a personalised teaching environment, we want to hear from you! - Location: Manchester City, Manchester - Position: SEN Tutor - Hours: Approx. 2-30 Hours/week - Rate: £25.00 - £35.00 p/hr - Contract: Ongoing Ideal Candidates: * Have experience in SEN teaching such as ADHD, ASD, and students with high anxiety levels (2 years is ideal) * Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills * Able to adapt lessons to suit a variety of learning styles, all of them to be tailored to the individual * Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success * Have a UK recognised qualification in education or relevant SEN-related fields (QTS/PGCE/SEN qualifications) * Have a DBS (enhanced preferable) * Able to travel to the area that the work is required This tutor role involves: * planning lessons and resources around the student's needs. This could be in the core subjects or life skills * To assess learners needs and plan and implement tailored and structured programs of learning in line with young persons EHCP outcomes * To ensure the pupils feel safe and secure, ensuring their well-being * plan and deliver engaging sessions. * apply skills to raise pupils' confidence. * track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide monthly reports to parents and or teachers. * learn about visuals to communicate in some cases.
