SENCO - Broxbourne, Hertfordshire
Prospero Teaching is working with an Ofsted rated Good school who is looking to recruit an experienced or aspiring SENCO. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate professional to join a thriving and supportive school based in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire.
This position is to start as soon as possible and is open to experienced SENCOs or qualified teachers with the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO), or those currently working towards it. The ideal candidate will be committed, compassionate, and a versatile leader who can effectively manage SEND provision and support across the school.
You would be responsible for leading the SEND department, ensuring high-quality support for all pupils with additional needs, and working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies. This is a well-resourced, inclusive school that prides itself on fostering a culture of respect, understanding, and success for all learners.
The school offers ongoing professional development opportunities, including CPD sessions and in-house training led by experienced staff.
SENCO Information:
· You will be joining a successful, supportive leadership and inclusion team.
· The position is open to both experienced SENCOs and teachers currently completing the NASENCO qualification.
· The school offers a range of professional development opportunities and regular CPD training.
· Strong team ethos with excellent support from senior leadership.
· The school is located in a well-served area for transport, with parking available onsite.
SENCO Contract Details:
Location: Broxbourne, Hertfordshire
Position: SENCO
Type of work: Leadership of SEND provision and support
Contract or position starting date: ASAP
Full time/part time: Full time
Minimum rate of pay: Pay to Scale
Hours: 8am - 3:30pm or 4:00pm
SENCO Experience, Training and Qualifications:
· NASENCO qualification (or working towards it)
· Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND
· Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
