Job Title: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Location: SEMH School, Basingstoke
Start Date: January 2026
Hours: Full-Time
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and committed SENCO to join a specialist SEMH school in Basingstoke. This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring high-quality provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage SEND provision across the school.
Coordinate and implement EHCPs and individual support plans.
Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to meet student needs.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain accurate records.
Provide training and guidance to staff on SEND strategies and best practice.Requirements:
SENCO qualification (or willingness to complete).
Proven experience in a SENCO or similar leadership role.
Strong understanding of SEND legislation and SEMH strategies.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.Hours & Pay:
Full-time, term-time position.
