SENCO  Location: Birminghan Salary: DOE Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Lead, Inspire, and Make a Lasting Difference Are you an experienced and passionate SENCO looking for your next challenge? Do you want to work in a specialist SEN school where you can truly impact the lives of children and young people with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a highly supportive SEN school. This is an exciting opportunity to lead SEND provision, champion inclusive practice, and ensure every pupil receives the support they need to succeed both academically and personally. The Role As SENCO, you will: Lead and manage the school's SEND provision. Oversee EHCP reviews, annual reviews, and intervention planning. Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals. Monitor pupil progress and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies. Provide guidance and training to staff to ensure outstanding SEND practice. Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and best practice frameworks. Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils. What We're Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). National SENCO Qualification (or working towards). Proven experience supporting children and young people with SEND. Strong knowledge of EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice. Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills. A pupil-centred approach and genuine passion for inclusive education.
