Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR
A progressive and inclusive secondary school in Reading is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCo to lead its SEND provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to drive inclusion, ensure access for all learners, and work closely with a committed leadership team to deliver outstanding outcomes for students with SEND.

Core responsibilities:

Oversee the SEND register and ensure effective implementation of EHCPs.
*
Liaise with teachers, support staff, external agencies, and families.
*
Coordinate targeted interventions and monitor their impact.
*
Deliver CPD and training to staff on differentiation and inclusion.
*
Ensure the school meets all statutory obligations under the SEND Code of Practice.
*
Be a visible and proactive member of the leadership team, championing equity and accessibility.
Candidate requirements:
*
Qualified teacher status (QTS) with National SENCo Award or willingness to complete it.
*
Significant teaching experience, ideally including experience working with students with SEN.
*
Strong understanding of EHCPs, graduated response, and inclusive pedagogy.
*
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
*
Passionate about removing barriers to learning and promoting wellbeing.
