A forward-thinking and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Abingdon is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced SENCO to lead and develop its SEND provision from September. The school has a growing and diverse cohort, and places inclusion and equity at the heart of its ethos. As SENCO, you will lead the strategic development of special educational needs provision in the school and ensure high-quality teaching and support is in place for all students with additional needs.
You will be part of the extended leadership team and work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to coordinate and deliver outstanding SEND support. The school provides ongoing CPD, SEN training, and opportunities for leadership progression. There is a well-established base of pastoral and academic interventions, and the team is committed to continuous development.
