This alternative provision caters to secondary-aged students with a wide range of special educational needs and additional challenges, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and complex behaviour profiles. The SEN school has a strong team of teaching and support staff, all committed to ensuring that every student reaches their full potential. As SENCo, you will be part of the senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in leading SEND strategy, interventions, and compliance across the school.
SENCo Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all aspects of SEND provision across the alternative provision

Coordinate EHCP applications, reviews, and annual meetings
*
Liaise with parents, external agencies, and the local authority (Hillingdon Borough)
*
Support and train staff on inclusive practice and differentiation
*
Ensure the SEN school remains compliant with all statutory SEN requirements
*
Drive high-quality interventions and promote best practice across the curriculum
Ideal SENCo Candidate:
*
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO)
*
Has proven leadership experience in an SEN or alternative provision setting
*
Deep understanding of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education
*
Strong communicator, able to work collaboratively with multi-agency teams
*
Values-driven, passionate about transforming lives through education
