Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have the skills to lead, inspire, and drive inclusive practices in education? This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young learners. Career Teacher are seeking to appoint qualified and experienced SENCO who are ideally looking for long-term or permanent work from September 2025 or sooner, to work in secondary schools in Birmingham and surrounding areas. We are extremely busy with requests from our schools and can offer the flexibility to work around you, as we offer short and long-term cover roles as well as permanent opportunities. About the Role As a SENCO, you will: Lead and oversee the SEND provision across the school. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students with additional needs. Ensure the implementation and monitoring of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Provide training and guidance to staff on SEND best practices. Advocate for inclusive teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs. About You To be successful in this role, you should have: A relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent). A strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practices.
