Do you have Teaching and leadership experience (middle leadership or above) in the secondary sector? Do you have National Award in SEND co-ordination (or working towards this award)? If so, read on! About the role – SENCO This position is to lead the SEN department and be responsible for the smooth day to day running of SEN. The SENCO role is a full-time position that requires someone who is exceptionally organised and efficient, used to dealing with a diverse workload and has excellent communication skills. You will be delivering SEN teaching plus mainstream teaching and working closely with the pastoral team. The ideal SENCO would be able to coach, mentor and lead others, have thorough knowledge of the new SEND Code of Practice and be skilled in working with students with a range of abilities and needs.
