SENCO – Highly Regarded Secondary School – Near Slough (Burnham) – September 2025 Start Location: Burnham, Berkshire (near Slough) Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance An inclusive and well-respected secondary school in Burnham, just outside of Slough, is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and strategic SENCO to join their leadership team in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position and a critical role within a school that places inclusion and well-being at the heart of its ethos. With a strong tradition of supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs, the school’s SEN department is well-resourced, collaborative, and forward-thinking. What This School Offers: * A strong inclusion team with additional pastoral and teaching support * Well-established SEND systems and supportive SLT * Regular CPD and access to national networks of SEND professionals * A genuinely student-centred approach across the school community * Excellent facilities including sensory and small-group intervention spaces Your Role as SENCO: * Oversee and coordinate all SEND provision across KS3 and KS4 * Lead and manage a team of LSAs, inclusion mentors, and TAs * Liaise with external agencies, parents, and staff to ensure high-quality support * Champion best practice, compliance, and personalised learning for SEND pupils * Support whole-school training on differentiation, behaviour, and wellbeing We Are Looking For: * A qualified teacher with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete it) * Proven experience supporting pupils with diverse learning needs * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills * A detailed understanding of EHCP processes, SEND Code of Practice, and inclusion policies This SENCO opportunity is perfect for a candidate who is passionate about equality and access to learning for all students, and who thrives on making a difference within an ambitious school
