SENCO – Rewarding Secondary School – Taunton – September 2025 Start
Location: Taunton
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR
A rewarding and inclusive school in Taunton is seeking a compassionate and strategic SENCO to lead their SEND provision from September 2025. The successful candidate will join a strong and respected leadership team and work closely with students, families, and staff to ensure success for all learners.
With a team of experienced LSAs, a dedicated SEND suite, and strong partnerships with local agencies, the school already has a solid foundation for SEND support and is seeking a SENCO to take it further.

As SENCO, You Will:

Oversee EHCP reviews, funding applications, and access arrangements
*
Develop and monitor individual learning plans and support strategies
*
Collaborate with staff to deliver quality first teaching for SEND students
*
Support transition programmes for new and vulnerable pupils
*
Lead the SEND team and champion inclusion across departments
The Ideal Candidate:

Holds QTS and either has the NASENCO qualification or is willing to complete it
*
Has a passion for inclusion and a deep understanding of SEN practices
*
Is a confident communicator with families and professionals
*
Brings vision, compassion, and resilience to their leadership
