SENCO – Inclusive Secondary School – Taunton – September 2025 Start
Location: Taunton
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR
A well-regarded and inclusive secondary school in Taunton is seeking an experienced and committed SENCO to lead its Special Educational Needs provision from September 2025. This full-time, permanent role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for inclusive education and a track record of supporting students with diverse learning needs.

As SENCO, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Leading the SEN strategy across the school, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice

Identifying students with additional needs and coordinating provision
*
Overseeing EHCP applications and annual reviews
*
Supporting teachers to develop inclusive classroom practices
*
Working closely with families to ensure strong communication and partnership
*
Mentoring LSAs and providing CPD to staff across departments
Who We’re Looking For:

A qualified SENCO with the NASENCo qualification or willingness to complete it
*
Strong knowledge of SEND frameworks and legislation
*
Ability to inspire confidence in staff, students, and parents
*
A team player who works well with other leaders and pastoral staff
*
A reflective practitioner with a vision for a truly inclusive learning environment
