Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a thriving primary school in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dedicated teacher to take on a key leadership role, starting as soon as possible.
🏫 About the Role
We are seeking a qualified teacher with SENCO experience to lead on special educational needs provision across the school. As SENCO, you will play a vital role in shaping inclusive practice and ensuring that all pupils with additional needs are supported to reach their full potential.
This is a full-time position, with pay negotiable depending on experience.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school
Ensure high-quality intervention and targeted support for pupils with additional needs
Provide expert guidance and training to teaching and support staff
Be a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to school development
Monitor, track, and evaluate the progress of children with SEND
Liaise with external professionals and agencies to ensure holistic support for pupils
Promote a culture of inclusion, high expectations, and achievement for all learners
✅ Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO)
Proven leadership experience in SEND within a school setting
A strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice
Ability to analyse data to improve outcomes for pupils with additional needs
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
