Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Leadership Scale / Negotiable A highly regarded secondary school in Oxford is recruiting a dedicated and experienced SENCO to lead the Special Educational Needs provision. Job Overview You will provide leadership, coordination, and strategic development for SEND within the school. The role involves working closely with staff, students, and families to ensure personalised support that maximises learning and achievement for all SEND students. Core Responsibilities * Lead the identification, assessment, and support for students with additional needs. * Develop and implement SEND policies and provision maps. * Manage a team of teaching assistants and support staff. * Collaborate with external agencies and ensure statutory compliance. * Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive teaching practices. * Monitor and report on SEND progress and outcomes. Candidate Requirements * Qualified SENCO accreditation and QTS. * Experience leading SEND provision in a secondary setting. * Strong organisational and leadership skills. * Compassionate approach with excellent communication and teamwork abilities. * Knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practices.
