Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR
A well-respected and inclusive secondary school in Worthing is looking to appoint an experienced and strategic SENCO to lead their SEND provision from September 2025. This is a key leadership role, offering the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students with additional needs.
Key Role Functions:

Lead and manage the SEND team, including support staff and HLTA
*
Oversee the implementation of EHCPs and support plans
*
Collaborate with teachers to ensure high-quality, differentiated teaching
*
Maintain relationships with families and outside professionals
*
Promote a culture of inclusion, high expectations, and independence
Candidate Requirements:
*
QTS with National SENCO Award (or working towards it)
*
Experience in SEND strategy, provision mapping, and staff training
*
Thorough understanding of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding
*
Empathy, resilience, and ability to lead in a busy secondary setting
