Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + Substantial TLR
An inclusive and innovative school in High Wycombe is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to lead and develop its SEND provision. This role is ideal for someone passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
Role Purpose:
You will shape the school’s SEND strategy and work alongside SLT, pastoral teams, and families to ensure that every learner achieves their full potential. The school is committed to high-quality, differentiated teaching and holistic support.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the SEND department and ensure provision is tailored, consistent, and ambitious
*
Coordinate EHCP processes, annual reviews, and ILPs
*
Train and guide teaching and support staff in inclusive classroom practice
*
Work with local authorities, therapists, and external agencies
*
Promote student voice, inclusion, and equity
Candidate Profile:
*
QTS and National SENCO Award (or willingness to complete)
*
Experience leading or coordinating SEND in a secondary school
*
Excellent knowledge of current legislation, policy, and best practice
*
Empathetic, organised, and proactive with a strategic mindset
