Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR
A highly regarded secondary school in High Wycombe is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate SENCO to lead the school’s SEND provision. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to shape inclusive practice in a diverse, forward-thinking school.
Role Overview:
The SENCO will lead a team of learning support assistants and work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver personalised support that enables every student to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee statutory SEND assessments and support plans for all students with additional needs

Provide training and guidance to staff on effective differentiation and inclusive teaching
*
Coordinate interventions and track impact on student outcomes
*
Foster a whole-school culture of inclusion and accessibility
*
Liaise with families and community partners to ensure holistic support
Essential Candidate Qualities:

QTS and NASENCO qualification
*
Extensive SEND leadership experience in secondary education
*
Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills
*
Passionate about equity, wellbeing, and student empowerment
