Salary: Leadership Pay Scale 1–5 (depending on experience)
An outstanding secondary school in Dursley seeks a strategic, compassionate SENCO to lead inclusion and SEND provision starting September 2025. This senior role sits within a supportive SLT and overlooks a well-resourced SEND team.
Role responsibilities:

Develop and lead a whole-school SEND strategy aligned with a culture of inclusion and academic success
*
Manage EHCP processes, compliance, and multi-agency meetings
*
Coordinate a team of Teaching Assistants, EP services, and specialist support programmes
*
Design staff CPD in universal inclusion, scaffolding, and assistive technologies
Candidate profile:

Qualified Teacher with SENCO status (or current training) and SEND leadership experience
*
Excellent understanding of legal frameworks, multi-agency working, and SEND differentiation
*
Inspirational leader with excellent communication and shared practice mindset
*
Skilled in systems, impact tracking, and inclusive policy development
