SENCO Job Title: SENCO Location: Oxford Start Date: Immediate Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Salary:  £40,266 - £51,788 + SEN Allowance An amazing opportunity for a dedicated and passionate SENCO to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Witney, Oxfordshire. About the Role: As a SENCO, you will lead and coordinate the special educational needs provision within your assigned school or setting. You will collaborate closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure all pupils with SEN receive the appropriate support to thrive. Key Responsibilities:  Lead and manage SEN provision in your designated school or provision Develop and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to pupils’ needs Support and guide teaching staff on effective SEN strategies and differentiation Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to promote pupil progress Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and school policies Deliver training and support to staff on SEN best practices Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Must hold an NPQ SENCO or an equivalent recognised qualification. Experience working with pupils with SEN, with SENCO experience highly desirable Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and assessment procedures Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Commitment to promoting inclusive education and safeguarding Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) – or willingness to apply.
