Job Description

SENCO (Secondary School) – 3 Days per Week – September 2025 Start Location: Near Irchester, Northamptonshire Start Date: September 2025 Working Pattern: 3 days per week Contract Type: Part-time / Ongoing or Permanent A supportive and inclusive secondary school near Irchester is seeking a qualified and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join them from September 2025 for three days per week. This is a non-teaching role, focusing on key SENCO responsibilities such as annual reviews and consultations. It's an ideal opportunity for someone looking to use their SEN expertise in a strategic, pastoral, and administrative capacity without classroom teaching. The Role: Lead and manage the annual review process for students  Attend and contribute to local authority consultations Liaise with parents, carers, external agencies, and internal staff Ensure all paperwork, records, and compliance around SEND provision is up to date Provide guidance and support to the SEND team and wider staff The Ideal Candidate: Holds (or is working towards) the NASENCO qualification Has prior experience in a SENCO or similar SEND leadership role Has a thorough understanding of SEND legislation, processes, and statutory responsibilities Confident in managing paperwork, reports, and liaising with multiple stakeholders Excellent communicator and highly organised Why Work Through Coba Education?
