A primary school in Southwark are seeking an experienced and passionate SENDCo to join their leadership team and drive forward the inclusive vision and provision for pupils with additional needs.
As part of the School Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every child with SEND achieves their full potential through high-quality teaching, targeted interventions, and inclusive practices. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional to make a real impact across the school community.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead on provision and strategic planning for pupils with SEND across the academy.
Design, deliver, and evaluate high-impact interventions tailored to individual learning needs.
Provide leadership and guidance to teaching assistants and support staff to ensure quality provision.
Monitor progress of pupils with SEND and analyse data to drive improvement.
Support and contribute to the wider School Improvement Plan and SLT responsibilities.
Uphold and promote the school’s vision, values and safeguarding practices at all levels.What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo).
Proven track record of raising achievement and leading SEND provision effectively.
Strong data analysis skills to inform planning and monitor impact.
Experience of contributing to school leadership and improvement planning.
Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and SEND legislation and practice.
A collaborative, reflective practitioner with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
