Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within Key Stage 2 (KS2) at a welcoming primary school in Sefton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEND TA / Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who is passionate about making a positive difference to children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with Special Educational Needs.
Assist with learning, behaviour, and social development.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support strategies.
Encourage independence and help the pupil engage fully in classroom activities.
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a KS2 or primary setting.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Two professional references covering the last 2 years.
