1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN & Behavioural Support) - Wellingborough
Location: Wellingborough
Contract: Fixed-term, 2 years (Term-time only)
Hours: Tuesdays 8:30am-3:00pm, Wednesdays & Thursdays 8:30am-4:00pm

Tradewind Recruitment are working with an Alternative Provision (AP) in Wellingborough who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with severe learning difficulties and behavioural needs.
This is a fixed-term, term-time only position for two years, providing consistent and compassionate support to help the student achieve their learning and behavioural goals.
The Role:
Provide tailored 1:1 support for a student with complex learning and behavioural needs.
Implement behaviour management strategies under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.
Support the student in accessing learning and developing life skills in a nurturing environment.
Build positive, trusting relationships to promote engagement and wellbeing.
Requirements:
Experience supporting students with SEN, behavioural, or SEMH needs.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
