🕒 Hybrid Working: First 2 weeks in-office, then 2 days office / 3 days home

About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated and highly organised SEND Case Officer to join our dynamic team and support the Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment process. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring that children and young people with special educational needs receive timely and effective support, in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for families and professionals at the start of the EHC needs assessment process.
Manage and allocate caseloads to ensure compliance with statutory timescales.
Communicate clearly and sensitively with families and young people, guiding them through the EHCP process.
Liaise with parents, schools, and multi-agency professionals regarding assessment requests and annual reviews.
Monitor and check incoming reports to ensure legal requirements are met.
Support the Head of SEND Assessment and Review Service with key administrative tasks.
Coordinate timely input from social care, health professionals, educational psychologists, and other agencies.
Organise and manage all SEND panels, ensuring smooth coordination between schools, families, and partners.
Provide responsive support across the SEND Assessment and Review Team.
Manage enquiries via phone and shared mailboxes, ensuring swift and accurate responses.
Prioritise and escalate urgent issues as necessary.What We’re Looking For
Experience working in a SEND, education, or social care setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Familiarity with the SEND Code of Practice is highly desirable.
Confidence in managing multiple tasks and stakeholders under pressure.Working Arrangement
