Join a warm, thriving SEND setting supporting pupils with a variety of needs including learning difficulties, emotional, social and mental health (SEMH) needs—across a broad age range. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support, delivering bespoke interventions
* Help plan and adapt lessons to meet individual needs
* Support children’s emotional wellbeing, nurturing positive relationships and encouraging independence
* Contribute to a creative, inclusive learning environment where every child is valued
Key Responsibilities
* Assist delivery of tailored programmes (e.g., phonics, social skills, therapeutic approaches)
* Support behaviour for learning using positive, trauma-informed strategies
* Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers and the SENCo
* Maintain professional standards, including enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks
Person Specification
We’re looking for someone who:
* Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
* Has experience working with SEND or SEMH pupils (experience in mainstream is also welcome)
* Holds relevant qualifications
* Demonstrates strong communication, teamworking skills, and flexibility
* Is committed to professional development and reflective practice
