Job Description
Learning Support Assistant (SEND) – The Nest / KS1
📍 Location: Doncaster DN2
🕒 Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday (8:15am–3:15pm, including 30 mins lunchtime cover)
📅 Contract: Temporary to Permanent (12 Weeks through our agency then permanent contract with the school )
Provide Education are working on behalf of a wonderful primary school who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with SEND experience to join their team.
The successful candidate will work either within The Nest, the school’s specialist provision for children with additional needs, or across Key Stage 1, supporting pupils who require extra help within the main school.
About the Role:

Work as part of a supportive SEND team in The Nest, a specialist unit for children aged 3–7 with additional needs (approx. 6–8 children).
*
Collaborate with the SEND Provision Lead and other LSAs to provide high-quality care and learning support.
*
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to children’s individual needs.
*
Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development both in The Nest and within KS1 classes.
*
Be flexible and adaptable – the role may involve supporting across both settings depending on need.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
✅ Have previous experience supporting children with SEND (ideally within Early Years or KS1).
✅ Be nurturing, patient, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
✅ Have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team.
✅ Be flexible and positive in their approach to supporting learning.
