Salary: 87.50 - 110.00 per day dependent on qualifications and experience

Overview:
Our partner specialist SEND school in the Offerton area is seeking a compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and complex needs. You will be part of a caring team, working to help each student feel safe, understood, and able to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality support to pupils with additional needs in classroom and small-group settings.
Recognise that behaviour is a symptom of unmet need; respond holistically and empathetically.
Work alongside class teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver differentiated interventions.
Help pupils develop academic, social, emotional, and life skills.
Contribute to planning, monitoring, and evaluation of individual support plans.
Person Specification / Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people who have SEND (in school, specialist settings, or residential).
- An understanding of ASC, SEMH, ADHD, and complex needs.
- Patience, empathy, resilience, and the ability to build trustworthy relationships.
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet pupil needs.
- A positive, solution-focused approach and a commitment to inclusion.
