SEND Primary Teacher – Southwark, South East London Location: Southwark Borough Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier) Hours: Full-Time 8:30am – 4:00pm Daily Rate: £190 – £280 per day (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Long-Term Temp-to-Perm Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Primary Teacher looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are working with a fantastic specialist school in Southwark, South East London, catering to pupils with autism, behaviours that challenge, and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. This is a full-time opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking team, committed to creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment. About the School: Specialist setting for pupils aged 5–11 with autism, SEMH, and complex behavioural needs Small class sizes with high staff-to-pupil ratios Access to a multidisciplinary support team, including therapists and behaviour specialists Strong, supportive leadership with a clear vision for inclusive education Team Teach approach embedded across the school – training provided if not yet certified‍ The Role: Full-time teaching role (8:30am–4:00pm), leading a small group of pupils with EHCPs Develop and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet a wide range of needs Work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and therapists Create a positive, structured, and predictable classroom environment Record and report on progress, contribute to review meetings, and liaise with parents/carers The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs and experienced SEND teachers welcome Experience supporting children with autism, SEMH, and challenging behaviour Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach Strong behaviour management skills and a passion for inclusive teaching Team Teach training beneficial – but full training will be providedIf you are a qualified teacher looking for an SEND Teacher position, please apply ASAP with an up-to –date CV outlining your skills and experience
