Job Description
An outstanding special needs school based in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Qualified Teacher to join its exceptional team.
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)-both recognised as equivalent for teaching in schools
They welcome applications both newly qualified teachers (NQTs) and experienced educators who are passionate about supporting children with a range of special educational needs.
About the Role
Plan, deliver, and adapt life‑changing lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENDCo, therapists, parents, and carers to develop individualised education plans.
Contribute to a warm, creativity-driven, and inclusive classroom environment.
Hold high expectations, track pupil progress, and celebrate achievements across multiple developmental domains. Person Specification
Must hold QTS or QTLS, both valid qualifications for state and special schools
Open to newly qualified or experienced teachers.
Experience in SEN settings is preferred; however, a strong commitment to pupil-centred teaching, adaptability, and inclusion is essential.
Excellent communicator, empathetic, resilient, and safeguarding-aware.
