Location: Speke, Liverpool

Pay Rate: £13.75-£14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Speke, who are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025.
This full-time, temporary position will involve working closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
The Role Includes:
Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support
Implementing effective strategies to support pupils with diverse needs
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and the pastoral team
Supporting pupils’ emotional and social development
Helping create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary setting
Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and effective support strategies
Experience with one-to-one and small group interventions
A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
An up-to-date DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
