About the Role
Forever Teaching is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEND school in Eccles that supports children with a wide range of complex needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, and physical needs.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEND Support Assistants to join the team and provide high-quality support to pupils, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
As a SEND Support Assistant, you will:
* Work closely with teachers and other staff to support children with complex needs.
* Provide tailored assistance to pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
* Assist with personal care and physical needs where required.
* Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
* Help children develop their confidence, independence, and communication skills.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds. Experience in a school setting is valuable, but transferrable experience in care, support work, or similar roles is also highly regarded.
You should have:
* A genuine passion for working with children with SEND.
* Patience, resilience, and a caring nature.
* The ability to work as part of a supportive team.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of pupils.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
