Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND) – Walsall

First for Education is proud to be working with a caring, inclusive SEND school in Walsall that goes above and beyond to support every child. We’re now looking for an experienced, committed Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic team.
Please note:

This role requires previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
*
You must be able to drive, as the school is not easily accessible by public transport and staff may be required to travel between sites.
🧩 About the Role:
You'll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, or mental health challenges. You’ll work 1:1 and in small groups, helping learners to access the curriculum, manage their emotions, and build confidence day by day.

Assisting with learning activities and personal development

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
*
Supporting communication and independence
*
Working closely with the classroom team, therapists, and families

Has solid experience working with SEND (education or care setting)

Holds a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
