About the Role The Education Network is excited to be recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Bingley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
As a SEND TA, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, social development, and emotional well-being, while helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Assist class teachers with lesson delivery and differentiated learning activities.
Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs where required.
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional resilience.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families to meet individual needs.Requirements
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school or care setting).
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
Resilience and adaptability in a rewarding but sometimes challenging environment.
A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).What We Offer
