A lovely primary school in Sutton is looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to work in their ARP on a part-time basis in January.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to join a collaborative and supportive team in a specialist provision catering for children with Autism. The role will be temporary, covering a sickness absence, and is anticipated to continue for at least 8 weeks.
About the Role:
In this SEN Teacher role, you will take the lead in a Key Stage 2 class within a specialist Resource Base, designed to support pupils with Autism and associated needs. This is a class of 5 children with high needs. You will be responsible for delivering a sensory-based curriculum tailored to the diverse communication styles and learning needs of pupils in the KS2 class, with a strong emphasis on nurturing, inclusive, and developmental learning experiences.
The school are looking for an SEN Teacher who:
Has Qualified Teacher status with experience or a passion to move in to teaching students with SEN
Demonstrates a deep understanding of Autism
Has high expectations for all learners and a strong belief in inclusive education.
Brings compassion, resilience, and outstanding relationship-building skills.
Is committed to continuous professional growth and positive outcomes for pupils.
