Job Description

SEND Teacher - Independent Specialist School (11-19)   Salary: £32,000 - £43,000 | Full-time: 40 hours/week Location: Staffordshire | Ofsted Rating: Good   Are you an experienced teacher passionate about supporting young people with complex needs?   Do you have a strong background or specialism in teaching English, Maths, or Science, and want to make a real difference in a trauma-informed, nurturing environment as a SEND Teacher?   Our client, an independent specialist school in Cannock, is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons for students aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides small classes and personalised support, helping students who have struggled in mainstream education build resilience, confidence, and a love for learning.   What You'll Do Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual pupil needs, including those with SEND and trauma histories. Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Promote pupils' social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct. Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective, personalised support.
