SEND Specialist Teacher – Gillingham Start Date: September or October 2025 Location: Gillingham Contract Type: Full Time | Long-Term (until July 2026) Pay: £163 - £223 per day (depending on experience) Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? One of our welcoming and well-established SEND schools, located in Gillingham provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children with ASC and associated needs. They pride themselves on delivering personalised learning that supports every child to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. As part of a dedicated and highly supportive team, you'll play a vital role in helping their pupils reach their full potential, develop confidence, and achieve meaningful outcomes in a setting where they are truly understood. The ‘Outstanding’ SEND School are seeking a SEND Specialist Teacher for a long-term contract starting in September or October 2025, continuing through to at least the end of the academic year. Who We’re Looking For: We are looking for a passionate and committed educator who has experience in, or a strong desire to work with, students with ASC and associated needs. You may be a qualified teacher or an experienced unqualified practitioner looking to make a difference in a specialist setting. Candidates with a primary teaching background are particularly encouraged to apply. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience working with students with ASC and other learning needs Hold QTS/QTLS, though unqualified applicants with relevant experience are welcome Be primary trained or have experience delivering differentiated learning at a primary level Be a resilient and adaptable classroom practitioner Have a positive, inclusive attitude and high expectations for pupils’ learning and development Be committed to creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment Enjoy working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team Be enthusiastic about developing individualised learning journeys for pupils In Return, You Will Receive: Support from a dedicated and experienced team Access to free, high-quality training Excellent daily rates of pay: £163 - £223 per day Opportunity to work in a school with a brilliant team ethos and strong leadership Potential for a permanent position for the right candidate Access to our Refer a Friend scheme – earn up to £150 collectively for each successful referral!
