SEND Teacher – Primary SEND Unit (Maidstone) Location: Maidstone Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full Time | Long-Term to Permanent Daily Rate: £163 – £223 (depending on experience) Are you a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher or Specialist with a desire to make a real difference in the lives of primary-aged children with diverse learning needs? We are currently working with a supportive, inclusive primary school in Maidstone that are seeking a committed and empathetic teacher to join their on-site SEND unit. This long-term position is available for an immediate start and has the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. The successful teacher will be working with a small group of children with a range of additional needs, delivering tailored lessons that support their academic, emotional, and social development in a nurturing and structured environment. What the Role Involves: Teaching a small class of children with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD) Planning and delivering differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum Marking work and assessing progress in line with EHCP targets and individual needs Creating a positive, consistent, and engaging learning environment Working closely with LSAs, SENCO, and other professionals to provide a collaborative and inclusive support system Implementing strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour We’re Looking For Someone Who: Has experience teaching or supporting primary-aged children with SEND Holds QTS/QTLS, or is an experienced SEND practitioner with a teaching background Is confident in planning and delivering lessons for a range of abilities Demonstrates a calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and learning Understands how to differentiate effectively to meet complex needs Is a team player, committed to inclusive education and collaborative working Is resilient, adaptable, and ready to make a lasting impact What You’ll Receive: A long-term role with potential for a permanent contract Competitive daily rates: £163 – £223 per day, depending on experience A chance to work in a well-resourced SEND unit within a welcoming primary school Access to ongoing CPD and specialist training A dedicated consultant supporting your journey Opportunity to be part of a school community committed to transforming lives Access to our Refer a Friend scheme – earn up to £150 collectively for successful referrals!
