We are looking to appoint a passionate, resilient, and adaptable Secondary Teacher who is committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of pupils who have faced barriers to learning. This is an exciting permanent opportunity for someone who thrives in a nurturing yet challenging environment and has a desire to support students to achieve their potential—both academically and emotionally.

* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the secondary curriculum tailored to the individual learning needs of SEMH pupils.
* Create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
* Work closely with pastoral teams, teaching assistants, and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions and support plans.
* Contribute to the development and review of personalised learning programmes and behaviour support plans.
* Monitor progress closely, adapting your approach to ensure students make sustained academic and personal development.
* Foster strong, trust-based relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support reintegration, attendance, and engagement.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and actively contribute to the wider school and alternative provision community.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching in a secondary setting (experience with SEMH or alternative provision is highly desirable).
* An understanding of the impact of trauma and social/emotional barriers on learning, with proven strategies to overcome these challenges.
* Strong behaviour management skills and a restorative, trauma-informed approach to teaching.
* Compassion, patience, and resilience, with the ability to build positive relationships quickly.
* A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding the welfare of all students.
