Job Description

As a SEND Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. By delivering high-quality, personalised teaching and creating an inclusive learning environment, you will support pupils to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Who are we looking for? A successful candidate will: * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. * Have experience teaching within mainstream schools, specialist provisions, or alternative provisions. * Have experience supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. * Be confident in planning and delivering differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils. * Be patient, compassionate, and committed to building positive relationships that encourage confidence and independence. * Demonstrate resilience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to overcoming barriers to learning. You will create a safe, nurturing classroom environment where every child is supported to succeed and develop at their own pace. You will: * Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes where appropriate. * Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to maximise achievement. * Foster pupils' academic, social, emotional, and communication development. * Use positive behaviour management strategies to promote engagement, confidence, and independence. * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, carers, and external professionals to deliver effective support. * Create an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates every pupil's strengths and encourages participation.
