Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Teaching Personnel’s partner school in Dawlish is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and help students thrive in a specialist learning environment.
Job Details:
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
Hours: 8:45 am – 3:45 pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £90 - £100 per day (based on experience)

About the Role:
This role involves working with students aged 3-19 who have Autism, learning disabilities, communication difficulties, and complex needs. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students develop academic, social, and life skills.
Duties include:
Assisting teachers in delivering structured learning activities.
Supporting students with personalised learning plans.
Encouraging independence, confidence, and communication.
Helping with behaviour management and emotional regulation.
Providing pastoral care and safeguarding support.
What We’re Looking For:
Passion for working with SEND students.
Experience in education, care, or SEND settings (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication, patience, and resilience.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
A calm and adaptable approach to challenges.
