Job Description
TeacherActive is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist educational setting supporting students with a range of SEND, including autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities.
The Teaching Assistant Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with diverse learning needs
Assist with classroom activities and help implement individual learning plans
Support students with personal care needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupil progress
The Ideal Teaching Assistant:
We are looking for individuals who are:
Compassionate, resilient, and committed to supporting students with additional needs
Experienced in working with SEND (experience in personal care is highly desirable)
Able to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative where needed
Flexible, reliable, and available for temporary assignments
