SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Bordesley Green, Birmingham, B9
Daily Rate: £105-£115 per day
Contract: Long Term to permanent
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Commutable from: Small Heath, Yardley, Alum Rock, Stechford, Sparkhill, Tyseley, Bordesley, Saltley, Digbeth
We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing individual to join a caring and inclusive school in Bordesley Green as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with complex needs, helping them thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Your Day-to-Day:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex SEND, including autism, learning difficulties and communication needs.
Implement EHCPs and adapt activities to match each pupil's abilities.
Support with sensory activities and emotional regulation when required.
Encourage pupils to build independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
Work closely with teachers, therapists and the SENCO to monitor progress and maintain consistency of support.
Promote a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed.About You:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND or complex needs.
Calm, patient and compassionate with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Confident supporting pupils with autism, communication difficulties or physical needs.
A Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.Why Work With Long Term Futures:
