Job Description
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a community special school in the Morpeth area that caters to pupils aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of special educational needs. The school has an inclusive ethos, high expectations, and commitment to providing opportunities for all pupils to achieve their best. The learning environment is tailored to support the additional requirements of students. They are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
The position is to start ASAP on a temporary basis with a high likelihood of going permanent in the new academic year. It is full time, 5 days per week in term time.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a student to provide tailored support, fostering their academic and personal development.Your role will include:
Assisting with classroom activities and ensuring the student's engagement
Supporting the student's emotional and social development
Implementing individualized learning strategies
Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to monitor progress
We are seeking candidates who are:

Capable of relating to a wide range of abilities
Committed to improving outcomes for all pupils
Previous SEND experience is advantageous but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
