Supportive, passionate TA required to support children with Autism in a friendly Huddersfield Primary
Are you passionate about helping set up young people for success? Are you keen to make a difference while also gaining valuable and rewarding experience?
A fantastic opportunity has recently become available for a SEND Teaching Assistant in a primary school in Huddersfield for a September start. The school are looking for someone to work with pupils with Autism in a Year 1 class.
The role as a SEND TA:
To support students who struggle with their class work
Facilitate a fun and friendly learning environment
To provide support to the class teacher
To encourage children to do their best
Help manage behaviour
Build good realtionships with the children in your careThe successful SEND TA will:
Be calm and compassionate. Personality is everything!
Be able to take initiative well and problem solve
Have some experience working with children - desirable but not essential
Be patient. Some students struggle with additional learning needs and need someone supportive to help them get through the school day
Understand the importance of safeguarding in schools
Must have an enhanced DBS Check or be willing to apply for oneKey information:
