SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School (EYFS, KS1 and KS2)
Location: Islington, North London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time (Mon-Fri, 08:30am-3:45pm)
Pay: £95-£100 per day (PAYE) with a pay rise after 12 weeks
Contract Length: Until July 2026
Are you a passionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term role where you can make a real difference in the lives of children?
SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be supporting a warm and inclusive primary school in Islington that is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025 until the end of the academic year in July 2026.
This full-time opportunity involves working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, providing 1:1 and small group support to children with a range of special educational needs. The successful candidate will have the chance to support pupils at various stages of their learning journey, from early years through to upper primary.
The role of a SEND Teaching Assistant in this setting will involve:
Supporting children with additional needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and adapting resources
Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
Promoting inclusion and helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically
Working closely with the school SENCO, parents, and external specialists
To be successful in this SEND Teaching Assistant role, you will need:
Previous experience supporting SEND pupils in a primary school, particularly across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence working independently and as part of a team
