Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in mainstream primary schools? Provide Education are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream primary schools in Halifax, supporting pupils with varying SEND needs.
This role is ideal for candidates who have experience working with children with special educational needs (including SEMH) and are confident supporting within a mainstream classroom setting.
The Role:
*
Supporting pupils with SEND, including (but not exclusive to) those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, within a mainstream primary classroom.
*
Assisting class teachers in creating a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
*
Delivering targeted support in line with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
*
Helping children access the curriculum and develop confidence and independence.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
Previous experience working with primary-aged children with SEND needs.
*
A calm, patient and nurturing approach to support learning and behaviour.
*
Confidence working alongside teachers to support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis.
*
Knowledge of SEMH and other additional needs is desirable.
