Job Description
In this SEND Teaching Assistant role, you'll help create an environment where children with additional needs feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. You’ll work one-to-one or in small groups, helping pupils access learning, establish routines, and develop independence. This role demands patience, creativity, and a flexible approach tailored to each child's unique needs.
Every day may involve adapting classroom resources, supporting pupils in developing social skills, or helping them manage emotions. Your consistent and supportive presence will build trust and drive impactful progress. Collaboration with teachers, SENCOs, and families ensures that each learner receives coordinated, meaningful support.
