SEND Teaching Assistant – Wideopen, North Tyneside
Location: Wideopen, North Tyneside
Salary: £444.60 – £475 per week
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential? We’re looking for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wideopen. The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in helping children with a range of additional needs access learning and make real progress. You’ll work closely with class teachers to deliver adapted lessons and activities, ensuring every pupil can take part and thrive.
Your role will be varied — no two days are the same. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
Delivering tailored learning plans and targeted interventions
Supporting pupils in developing independence, communication, and social skills
Helping to create a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment
Liaising with teachers, staff, and external specialists to ensure pupils receive consistent, high-quality support
