SEND Teaching Assistant – Daily supply, starting as soon as possibleThese flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working on a daily supply basis in Potters Bar and the surrounding areas, supporting pupils with special educational needs across a range of primary and secondary schools.Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
Support pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning plans
Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum
Promote inclusion and positive behaviour in the classroom
Assist with personal care and mobility where required
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and assessments
Adapt quickly to different school environments and pupil needsIdeal SEND Teaching Assistant:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in school or care settings
Understanding of EHCPs and strategies for supporting diverse needs
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (desirable)
Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour and communication
Strong teamwork and communication skills
