At TeacherActive we are privileged to be representing and working with a range of Secondary schools across Essex who are seeking a new SENDCO for a September start. Due to our in-house expertise in SEND, we have recently branched out and built a fantastic network with a range of secondary schools all over London, so those with SEND experience and a passion to learn and progress in this field, will be supported through this transition or growth in their career.
If you have experience working with children who are diagnosed with Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD / Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, SEMH /Social Emotional Mental Health, EBD / Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, or ADD / Attention Deficit Disorder then it’s highly likely we will be able to find you a position within our Secondary schools to help with the co-ordination of EHC Plans. We provide 24/7 support and will build a strong relationship with yourself, in order to get a more detailed understanding of your needs and what role will best suit you.
We help schools throughout Essex and Suffolk find Short-Term, Long-Term, Part-Time, and Permanent members of staff to assist with Daily, Short-Term, and Long-Term supply needs. This can allow you to continue a flexible lifestyle and work when you are free or wish to, whilst also gaining valuable experience working within the Education Sector for the chance of other roles we have.
All people working in a school will need an enhanced DBS on the update service, if you do not have this then we can assist by sending you over a direct link for you to apply to. If you have been working overseas for over 6 months within the last 5 years, you will need an OSPC (Overseas Police Check) - Both of these are needed due to safeguarding, so will be a requirement for all school environments.
This position is a Permanent position, however we do assist with other opportunities if you are seeking a more flexible role.
The successful SENDCO will have:
Experience working with EHC Plans
A QTS or equivalent
An SENDCO certification
